
SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 13

Jackson and Wooton)
Requesting the Division of Highways conduct a feasibility study for
the construction of a highway from Man, Logan County, to the
intersection of routes 85 and 99, and for the upgrading of
routes 85 and 99 in Raleigh County.

Whereas, Traveling to Raleigh County from central southern
West Virginia is difficult; and

Whereas, The ability of citizens in Logan and Wyoming counties
to reach the fast-growing businesses and industries in Raleigh
County and the interstate system would greatly enhance the
accessibility of job markets to these citizens; and

Whereas, In order to enhance the job opportunities of citizens
in isolated areas of southern West Virginia, opening an artery to
the fast-growing businesses and industries in Raleigh County would
serve as a vital link in providing jobs and economic stability to
Logan and Wyoming counties; therefore, be it

Resolved by the Legislature of West Virginia:

That the Legislature hereby requests the Division of Highways
conduct a feasibility study for the construction of a highway from
Man, Logan County, to the intersection of routes 85 and 99 in Raleigh County, and for the upgrading of routes 85 and 99; and, be
it

Further Resolved, That the Clerk of the Senate is hereby
directed to forward a copy of this resolution to the Secretary of
the Department of Transportation and the Commissioner of the
Division of Highways.
